(Just a note to say I often watch from the sound booth in the very back of theauditorium, and the view is awesome, you do not need to be super close to have a really great view.) ~ Due to the East Granby's fire code, there is no standing in the auditorium, at anytime. Everyone that enters the auditorium must have a ticket/seat, thank you for understanding. ~ Handicapped spaces are available. These seats will be marked in purple, rather than red. These spots do not have a chair, they are only for wheel chairs - thank you! ~ When you arrive, you will show your downloaded/printed ticket, or, pull up your digital ticket on a mobile device. Please let your family and friends know, thank you. ~ Parents are not required to watch all shows from the audience. You may decide to attend 1, or all 3 shows, it is totally your choice. However - please note that parents will need a ticket for any show they plan to watch from the audience. Dancer Show Policies (We realize all kiddos are different, so if you have any concerns about your dancer and what they do during the show, please just reach out to me.) ~ Dancers performing in the show do not need a ticket, unless you would like your young dancer (ages 8 and under) to come sit and watch the show with you after they’ve performed, and have their own seat. (If they sit on your lap, no need for a ticket.) ~ Dancers ages 9 and over will not come out into the audience at all during the show, they will stay back stage for the entire show, and bow with the company at the end of the show. ~ For dancers 8 and younger, there are a few options: ~ If their family is watching the show, they can be picked up backstage after they dance, and go to sit with their family (on a lap, or with a ticket/seat.) If they would like to bow at the end of the show, a family member should get them backstage to line up at least 2 numbers before the last dance. ~ If their family is not watching the show, they may be picked up backstage and brought home when they are done dancing, or, a female parent or guardian can stay backstage with them for the show so that they can bow at the end of the show. Lexi loves taking Modern and Ballet classes, but her favorite style of dance to perform is Jazz, especially Fosse style 🤗 She also loves the energy of Hip Hop and African dance.
When she’s not creating dances, Lexi loves to create in other ways. She loves interior design, refinishing furniture, as well as knitting and pottery, too!
In addition to teaching dance at Nutmeg’s, Lexi is also a certified Pilates instructor, dance instructor at Suffield Academy, and co-choreographer of the musicals at GMHS with Nutmeg.

Sadie has been dancing at Nutmeg’s since 2014. Her first show with us was “So We Think We Can Dance” (and we quickly saw - she sure could!)
Her favorite styles of dance are Hip Hop and Modern. She loves Hip Hop because you can just let loose and jam out to the music, and Modern because she loves being able to tell a story through her movement.
She is currently in her freshman year at Middlesex Community College, where she is studying Sports Media and Communications.
She loves to be around people, and especially little kiddos, in her free time! She also performs with local community theatre groups, and loves to pick up her camera and practice her photography whenever she has the chance. 📸

Faith has been dancing at Nutmeg’s for 12 years, and, though we don’t like to say it out loud, she is a Senior this year ♥️🥹
Though she loves all forms of dance, Faith’s favorite style of dance is Hip Hop, because she can lose herself in the music, and she loves the energetic, big movement that the style calls for. In her time at Nutmeg’s, Faith’s favorite pieces she’s performed are “Love on the Brain” and “Missy/Ciara Mix”
When she’s not at dance, Faith loves to be with children. After graduation, she hopes to stay involved at Nutmeg’s while attending nursing school, with the hopes of becoming a neonatal or pediatric nurse (and we know she’d make a wonderful one!)
You can dance with Faithy J on Thursdays and Fridays at Nutmeg’s:
Thursday at 4:15 pm: Advanced Beginner Broadway Jazz

We are so, so happy to welcome back our Acro instructor extraordinaire - Analise! 🩷
This will be Analise’s 6th year teaching at Nutmeg’s! She danced for 12 years before going to school for early childhood education. She took a few years off from dancing and acrobatics to work in the field, but always missed being in the studio, so found her way back to assist the lead instructors at Playstrong, and before she knew it, she was a lead Instructor herself!
She received her AFAA personal training and group exercise certifications to build her confidence in truly understanding all aspects of movement. She’s now been teaching for 17 years! She loves teaching at Nutmeg’s, as she loves being surrounded by so many passionate, creative, hard working humans.
Analise has been married for 6 years, and is Mama to their mini-me’s - Judson & Kit ♥️ She spends her days teaching her babies, and her nights teaching Acro at Nutmeg’s and Playstrong - and she wouldn’t have it any other way! 😊
You can come join Analise on Tuesdays at Nutmeg’s, where she’ll be teaching Tumbling Tots, Boys Hip Hop/Tumble & Tricks, and Acro I & II. We are so grateful Analise shares her talent, kindness, patience, knowledge and love with our kiddos, and we can’t wait for her classes to begin! 🤸

She’s baaaaack 🤗 After a brief hiatus (she just casually received her RN, became a full time school nurse, ran the dance program at Suffield Academy, and birthed two beautiful boys) Ally is back!
Ally began dancing at Nutmeg’s our very first year; 2003. She saw our Open House sign by the road, and the rest is history! Her favorite style of dance is Hip Hop; she loves the versatility, and how every dancer can add their own flare and energy to each move, while still doing the same choreography. She usually choreographs while driving, which provides great entertainment for Asher and Rainn!
In addition to being “Nurse Ally” at Suffield Elementary School, Ally also choreographs the musicals and runs the dance program at Suffield Academy.
This year, Ally will be co-teaching Adult World Dance with Nicola on Wednesday evenings, and this is for sure a class you don’t want to miss! 🪩

In addition to dancing, teaching dance, and choreographing, Annabelle will be teaching Kindergarten at Renbrook School this Fall!
Annabelle’s favorite style of dance to do, and choreograph, is Modern/Contemporary. And while we all admire her creativity, talent, and beauty in dance, we are also waiting for the day she finally shares the secret ingredient to her guacamole! 🥑

Hi, everyone!
The studio will be closed today due to the inclement weather :(
As a reminder - we add an extra week of classes, free of charge, to the first and third sessions, to account for probable snow days. This is the second Tuesday snow day, so, if we have any additional Tuesday cancellations, we will offer make up opportunities for those.
You can always reference our calendar, snow day info, etc, here: https://www.nutmegsdance.com/policies-and-procedures
Stay safe, and we look forward to dancing with you tomorrow!
Meg :)
We just want to extend a HUGE thank you to our community of families, dancers, teachers, volunteers, and audience members who all came together and made “A Hollywood Holiday” so special!
To our dancers - thank you for your hard work, dedication, grace, and joy! Your energy and joy were truly infectious, and brought smiles to so many! We are so proud of you.
We are so grateful to the parents who take the time to make this possible. We know how busy your lives are, and we are so grateful that you made time for this commitment. Thank you.
An event like this takes so many hands to pull off, and we all came together to make it happen. It is such a beautiful reminder of just how special our dance family is. And, it wouldn’t be anything without all of YOU!
We also want to thank Amy Lafleur, @amylafleurphotography, for her beautiful photography, and for so graciously sharing them with all of us! (All photos shared in this post were taken by Amy!)
On top of it all, we were able to use what we love as a way to raise funding for St. Jude’s - truly the best of both worlds, and what this season is all about.
Wishing you all a cozy holiday filled with peace, joy, warmth, and connection.
See you all in the new year!
Love,
Meg 🙂
